| Business Development Manager – Mining Experience: 10 to 20 years of Business Development experience in mining Qualification: Degree in Mining Engineering (Essential) and MBA in Finance · To identify political contacts, potential clients, preferred business partners, financial institutions, technology owners and consultants of value in order to position Leighton to be able to tender/bid for projects. · To prepare all documentation for Expressions of Interest, Registrations, Proposals and the like utilizing internal and external specialist resources as required in order to submit high quality submissions. · To participate closely with the Estimating Manager as required in the preparation of all cost estimates and bids in order to submit complete bids in accordance with clients requirements. · To coordinate all post bid submission processes in order to ensure successful resolution of all issues. · To attend pre-bid meetings and bid openings. · To conceptualise business development strategies and plans. · To filter opportunities and target key prospects in order to ensure company has an advantage and greatest chance of success. · To participate in PR and other communication activities in order to raise Leighton’s profile and increase brand awareness. · To prepare and present monthly Divisional Business Development Reports to the senior management team in order to keep everyone appraised of current opportunities. · To assist in the preparation of the Business Plan in order to provide accurate market information for the business. | |
