Manager / Sr. Manager (Business Development) - Indonesia Key Skills: Business Development, coal, commercial Job Description: The position requires the individual to play a significant role for a team that is involved in development and operations of world class captive mining projects, coal transportation (rail and sea), evaluation of international coal mining opportunities, M&A, setting up and managing businesses overseas, and international freight contracts and asset purchases. The role envisages the individual to contribute in the areas of business development and commercial activities. Depending on the profile and previous experience the assignment may involve frequent overseas travel. Essential: Expertise / knowledge of sector specific / regulatory issues for domestic or international coal sector. Experience in various roles in a business development / commercial environment especially related to fuel (preferably coal) Hands on experience in negotiating commercial contracts / fuel supply agreements. Exposure to M&A and taxation related issues desirable. Work experience with either a coal mining company / international coal trading company in a commercial environment. Functional Skills: oExcellent knowledge of mining or domestic coal or international coal sector including the regulatory aspects, various laws and statutory provisions o Strong commercial skills for contract negotiation / implementation. oAbility to conduct techno-commercial evaluation of assets considered for acquisition o Expertise in financial modeling. Strong Business Capabilities: oContacts within domestic or International coal industry o Excellent communication skills and analytical ability oCapable of delivering results in a cost/revenue/margin/profit driven environment o Have a high level of energy and a commitment to excellence Company Description: Our client is one of the largest business conglomerates & has significant plans of expanding its power generation capacity based on imported coal.
