| Technical Trainer (Electrical) - Oil &GAS_ Males Only NB: If you do not meet the job requirements, please do not apply .However if you know of a person who does, please do forward this announcement to him Responsible for the development and implementation of training and systems to support the Competence Development Programmed for Engineers, and Technicians. He will be required to assist in the design and production of suitable training support material to ensure that the Competence Development Programmed Quality Standards are maintained and that there is uniformity in the delivery of high standards of training which includes both ‘on and off the job training’. The successful candidate should also be able to: • Coach the Developers (Engineers and Technicians) in both theoretical and practical activities as defined within Competency frame work and plan and follow-up the work based activities appropriate to the development of their skills and knowledge. • In collaboration with other Training Centre staff, design and produce a comprehensive system for ensuring that the practical competence of the workforce is developed to the required standards • Deliver ‘short sharp’ practical courses which emphasis the acquisition of practical skills • Design, produce and deliver practical material for remedial work as identified by GAP analysis • In close cooperation with the Developers and the input of Line team members and other Training Centre staff, develop and produce Personal Development Plans and Personal Development Records for Developers. • Maintain good working relationship with other Training Centre staff • Observe and monitor competence checks of individual Developers • In consultation with Line closely monitor the rotation of Developers and the effectiveness of the training • Track the progress of Developers and produce reports as required. Minimum Requirements: • Aged 36-56 • B Sc. or equivalent • Completion of an approved programmed of practical training, such as Apprenticeship or Professional Institution/ Engineering Training Body / Armed Services / accredited training programmed and / or SVQ/NVQ Accreditations. • Very good standard of written and spoken English Language • Five years experience of the Oil and Gas Industry, with a further six years related industrial experience • Must be computer literate • Good interpersonal skills NB: If you do not meet the job requirements, please do not apply .However if you know of a person who does, please do forward this announcement to him Responsible for the development and implementation of training and systems to support the Competence Development Programmed for Engineers, and Technicians.
