| PDS Design Engineer PDS Piping Design engineer required for a twelve month contract, This company is offering the right person excellent package inc flights accomodation ect. 10 weeks on and two weeks off with all flights paid You must have at least 10 years previous experience with piping and you do require a degreeWe are currently looking to source a number of experienced PDS Piping Designer for a 12 month contract . You must have at least 10 years of relevant PDS design experience and must be able to: Perform related activities within Piping Engineering environment that constitute the following as a minimum. Work efficiently and effectively as part of a group of Piping Designers Show a level of responsibility Be able to develop piping design concepts from first principals Be able to advance an initial concept to through to the final detail design stages. Utilize technology to maximum effect Have a working appreciation of Piping Bulk Materials, Stress and Support concepts and assist/participate in detailed activities as required. Be aware of national, international and Corporate Engineering standards that influence Engineering and Design activities. Be able to produce to a sufficient and effective level a quality Plant Layout of a Piping System i.e., Capture process, safety, operability maintenance and economics of design. Understand and be able to demonstrate the fundamentals of Piping Bulk Materials identification and allocation. Understanding and ability to utilize other disciplines information, data and requirements to develop a conceptual design i.e. tower, orientation, related platforms and access, pumps, exchangers, utilities etc. Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of discipline interfaces beyond Piping Engineering and understand the needs of other disciplines for information both in quality and project timing. To have a basic understanding and knowledge of how the PDS system and libraries are set up. This should cover the checking of Dimension Tables, Specifications, Isogen Setup Extraction and Pipe Supports. To have an understanding of PDS design input. Basic pipe support activity. Be capable of completing basic material take off and flexible enough to assist in that field as occasions arise under the supervision of more experienced Materials personnel. Be fully conversant with basic pipe support principles and use of span charts and nomographs to aid the correct selection and inclusion design of chosen supports | |
